  5. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR TIMING CHIP IS NOT STORED NEAR A MAGNETIC FIELD AS THIS WOULD CORRUPT THE PRE-PROGRAMMED DATA IN YOUR TIMING CHIP. For example, the information in your timing chip will get wiped out if it is placed close to a speaker box, television or cell phone.  If you have any queries, you may refer them to the Odessey Timing officials at the start line.
  6. If you registered for the race and cannot take part, e.g. you may become injured, you may not, under any circumstance, transfer your race number to another person.  This could result in you and the person using the race number being banned from future races.

The race course will be closed at 9:00 a.m. Runners who are on the route after this time will be notified by course marshals that the course is closed.  The race management will not be responsible for any person who wishes to remain on the course after this time.
  8. ANTI-DOPING POLICY

In an effort to take a stance against the use of Performance Enhancing Drugs, Bankers Insurance wishes to advise that No prize money will be awarded to any runner who are currently or has previously been suspended for a doping offense. The Bankers Insurance Race committee recognizes that the use of performance enhancing drugs give users an unfair performance advantage over non-users. Performance enhancing drugs include anabolic steroids and any other natural or synthetic substance used to increase muscle mass, strength, endurance, speed or other athletic ability, excluding dietary and nutritional supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and proteins which can be lawfully purchased over-the-counter. Those individuals who use performance enhancing drugs are prohibited from participation in the race.

Athletes currently taking medications that appear on the list of banned substances as published in the Drug Classification Handbook of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) must complete and return a Therapeutic Use Exemption Form to the race committee.

  1. By entering the race, all participants agree to abide by these rules. Any participant who fail to comply with any applicable rule may be disqualified and/or banned from future Events as determined by the Event Organization.
  2. All athletes must sign the medical waiver/release of liability. On the online registration system, this waiver is included in section 2 and must be accepted before proceeding.
